Throughout its history, this beautiful manufacturer in La Chaux-de-Fonds has created remarkable models with astonishing creativity. Long managed by the Didisheim family, it is now part of a Chinese group based in Hong Kong.
This Villeret manufacture produced its own movements right up to the end of its existence in the 1960s, and even produced Observatory chronometers.
Paul Ditisheim was an illustrious watchmaker who dominated Swiss chronometry in the early 20th century. His life and work have been widely published, but little has been written about the companies he founded in Switzerland, and the links with the Solvil factory that later used his name.
