This Neuchâtel-based manufacturer is best known for its sports watches from the 1960s and 1970s, which were also marketed by its sister company Exactus. The company ceased all operations at the end of the 1980s.

Achille Hirsch created a number of businesses in La Chaux-de-Fonds. The Compagnie des Montres Invar was intended to produce precision watches with their own calibers. The Invar brand was subsequently used by Achille Hirsch's sons, and the company ceased to exist in 1992.

Like most of the watchmaking factories in St Imier, Moeris was interested in chronographs, but it was above all the quality of its civilian watches that made the company famous until the 1960s.
