The true story of Onsa watches

The Gilomen family had already founded the Heloisa factory in Lengnau in 1906, when another family member, Hans Gilomen-Ritter, decided to follow in his footsteps by creating the Fabrique Ansa in 1924, a name changed to Fabrique Onsa the following year.

In 1960, Onsa launched its two most emblematic models: the Shipman, an elegant watch with a crown embedded in the bezel, and the Scaphandrier, a diving watch water-resistant to 120 m, tested by the famous diver Hannes Keller.
