The Société d'Horlogerie de Langendorf, the birthplace of the Lanco brand, was once Switzerland's most important watch manufacturer. It no longer exists, and its eventful history is difficult to reconstruct.
This American-Swiss manufacturer from the very early 20th century produced high quality watches, and created the Avia brand, taken over much later by Degoumois & Cie.
Wyler watches were made famous by the use of the famous Incaflex balance wheel. But Wyler's history is not limited to this original shock absorber: the company created many interesting models, was a pioneer in automatic watches and sports sponsorship, and the Wyler family even ran another Swiss brand: Liema.
