The Barbezat-Bôle company in Le Locle—not to be confused with Barbezat-Baillot, the founder of the Le Phare factory—specialized in fine pocket watches featuring complications and automatons.

It acquired the Paul Buhré company in 1928.

This general-purpose manufacturer based in La Chaux-de-Fonds has a long history dating back to 1876. It was very active in the 1950s and 1960s before being acquired by Schwarz-Etienne, which did not use the brand name.
