Irénée Aubry and Niga: A Story of 8-Day Watches and Chronographs

The watch with an 8-day power reserve enjoyed considerable success in the late 19th and early 20th centuries. Although it was marketed by many manufacturers, it was Irénée Aubry who invented the famous version with a visible balance wheel.

Originally an independent brand, Niga became affiliated with Postala in the 1930s. However, like Postala, Niga ceased to exist in the late 1950s.
