Agon was one of the largest Swiss watch manufacturers. However, it produced Roskopf-type watches, which were popular but not highly regarded by manufacturers of "fine Swiss anchor watches."

Like all manufacturers of this type of watch, Agon did not survive the "quartz crisis."
