Era and Pery Watch, two pioneering manufacturers of wristwatches

The shop founded by Christian Ruefly-Flury in 1884 gave rise to two renowned brands: Era and Edox. These brands followed one another, and chronologically speaking, Era was the first to emerge.

The Dreyfus brothers settled in Biel around 1865 and opened a branch in Péry, which gave the company its name. But it was the Sigma brand that really made them famous, before its merger with Milex-Elem and the company’s demise during the “quartz crisis.”
