Founded by Omega's directors in 1895, La Générale, Helvétia watches, has had an eventful history. Around 1908, it was one of the first Swiss companies to produce wristwatches for men, and subsequently played an active role in the technical evolution of the Swiss watch, whether in the field of water-resistant watches, automatic watches, shock protection or chronographs.

The Helvétia story can be found here.

Stop watches are watches that measure intervals of time, but do not have all the functions of a chronograph. They appeared in the mid-1930s to offer a young, sporty public a more economical alternative to the expensive chronograph.

Helvétia launched two highly original Stop watches in 1941: the Helvéria Stop and the Helvétia Sport. Find out more here.
